The company is primarily engaged in the manufacture and sale of marshmallows. The marshmallow is a confection that, in its modern form, typically consists of sugar, corn syrup, water, gelatin that has been softened in hot water, dextrose, vanilla flavorings, and sometimes coloring, whipped to a spongy consistency. Some marshmallow recipes call for egg whites. The company has a registered office located in Alcoy/Alcoi, Spain. The company has its origins in the Jordá family business, which was founded in the 60's as a bakery and patisserie, under the name DULCES HISPANIA. The original works, initially located in the city centre of Alcoy (Alicante), gradually grew and in 1981 moved to its location in the Industrial Estate of Polígono Industrial Cotes Baixes, creating the company DULCES HISPANIA, S.A. In 1987, the technology necessary for the manufacture of marshmallows was installed and the company began to specialise in the manufacture and sale of this new product.
